Audi has officially unveiled the 2010 Q7 crossover which features minor styling updates and improved fuel economy.

The exterior receives a modest makeover that includes a new single-frame grille with vertical chrome accents, redesigned bumpers, more distinctive underbody protection, updated side sills, aggressive fender flares, and new LED taillights. Although halogen headlights come standard, the optional xenon plus package features xenon headlights, an adaptive-lighting system, LED daytime running lights, and air intake mounted LED turn signals. The optional aluminum exterior styling package comes with additional chrome accents, body color bumpers, and a contrasting paint scheme for the front apron and rear diffuser.

Interior changes for the 2010 Q7 include a new instrument cluster with larger displays for improved readability, additional chrome accents, door mounted ambient lighting, and a new trim piece for the passenger side dashboard.

Power comes from a variety of different engines including four diesels and two petrol units. The petrol engines include a 3.6-liter FSI V6 with 206 kW (280 bhp) and 360 Nm of torque and a 4.2-liter FSI V8 that is rated 257 kW (350 bhp) and 440 Nm of torque.

On the diesel side there is a 3.0-liter TDI with 176 kW (240 bhp) and 550 Nm of torque, it is rated to consume 9.1L/100 km (25.85 US mpg). A "clean diesel" 3.0 TDI is also available, it features an advanced common rail injection system, a high-performance exhaust recirculating system, and a DeNOx catalytic converter. This version of the 3.0 TDI is rated to consume 8.9L/100 km (26.43 US mpg) and already meets the 2014 Euro 6 emission limits. The 4.2-liter V8 TDI boasts significantly reduced fuel consumption despite being more powerful for 2010. Fuel economy improves from 11.1L/100 km (21.19 US mpg) to 9.9L/100 km (23.76 US mpg) and the engine's output is now 250 kW (340 bhp) and 760 Nm of torque.

The range topping Q7 V12 TDI also returns to the lineup, it boasts 368 kW (500 bhp) and a massive 1,000 Nm of torque. Performance figures for this monster include a 0-100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds, a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph), and a fuel economy rating of 11.3L/100 km (20.82 US mpg).
